At a time when the music scene celebrated a new record written in his name, the Egyptian star Amr Diab chose to comment from a different angle that sparked interaction among followers and social media users. This came after the announcement of his entry into the "Guinness" World Records for the second time, following his historic achievement of topping the "Billboard Arabic" list of the best 100 artists for 69 consecutive weeks, which the institution considered an exceptional gesture for a career that has spanned four decades. However, "The Plateau" surprised the audience with a statement that some considered a subtle diminishment of the importance of the official recognition, as he clarified that the real number and achievement he always strives for is embodied in "the audience's satisfaction," pointing out that his main passion lies in staying fresh and presenting musical ideas that precede the mainstream and are accepted by different generations. This comment divided followers, as some saw it as excessive frankness that avoided the usual diplomacy in statements during events and festivals, while others considered it an extension of his artistic personality that prefers to measure the true public impact on direct listening platforms away from formal celebrations. For its part, the "Billboard Arabic" management confirmed that the title represents a natural extension for an artist who has created his own equation at the forefront of the musical scene, with an exceptional ability to lead the Arab musical taste and keep up with its transformations over consecutive decades.
